Koh Samui is the typical South Seas paradise. This beautiful Coconut Island offers so many oppotunities for sight seeing. The mountains are up to 630 m high. The island is the third largest of Thailand (14 km wide, 20 km long). A 50 km long road leads at the coast around the island. The streets are quiet. Exploring the island by motorbike brings a lot of fun. There are locations for party and quiet beaches for enthousiats of tranquility and solitude.

Nahton
Here in town arrive the small ferries from the mainland. Here are nice shops for clothes and souvenirs. The larger car ferry arrive 4km to the south.

Bo Phut
The beach of Bo Phut is located in the north of the island. It is about 3 km long. There are a variety of resorts. Here you can spend a quiet family holiday.

Chaweng
Chaweng has the longest beach of the island. It is ideal for swimming and sunbathing. The palms hanging over the picturesque white sandy beach. In the evening the restaurants put on your tables on the beach and immerse it in the shining lights of garlands and elegant lamps; really romantic. There are many resorts with beautiful gardens and bungalows near the beach. Chaweng has become the main town of the island.

It is located close to the airport; without luagguage, you can walk there. In the evening, Chaweng also has much to offer. In some hotels, live music is played. There are several nightclubs and at special places many bars.


Lamai
Lamai is most popular to the backpackers. It has the reputation: Easy life for little money. It offers a variety of resorts, a beautiful beach and excellent entertainment with beer, whiskey, nightlife and Thai boxing.
