The Wat Phra Yai is popular by locals and tourists. In the center stands the 18m high Buddha. It is surrounded by 7 Buddha statues. Each Buddha figure represents a weekday. The Thais know on which day they were born and worship the Buddha of her Birth weekday accordingly.


The Phraya Na (พญานาค, Naga) are mythical creatures. They are painted as snakes or dragons. They guard the stairs to the temple.

A chinese temple is located left beneath the Buddhist temple. In China exist the religions of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism. It is a taoist temple.
