Koh Phi Phi is one of the most beautiful islands of Thailand. It belongs to the province Krabi. The entire group of islands include:
- in the North: Koh Mai Phai (Bamboo Island) and Ko Yung (Mosquito Island)
- Phi Phi Don, the inhabited island
- Phi Phi Leh south
- to the south: Ko Bida Nai and Ko Bida Nok
The archipelago is located in the National Park Hat Noppharat Thara-Mu Koh Phi Phi. On Phi Phi there are no cars. Koh Phi Phi Don consists of 2 mountains in the northeast and the southwest. Between them extends the populated headland. There are simple resort for backpackers and expensive hotel facilities for luxury tourists. Koh Phi Phi is well developed for tourists since many years; here are:

Waste and Sewage
Due to the increase of tourism more and more waste and sewage is produced. The hotels and resorts are required to operate an effluent treatment plant. The waste is disposed of with boats. Apparently tourists leave their garbage in the nature. In some places the water quality is reduced and the waste is rolled at the beach by the waves.
Koh Phi Phi Leh
Koh Phi Phi Leh is located in the protected part of the national park. This may not be populated. The most famous beach is the Maya Beach. Here the movie "The Beach" was filmed. The bay is surrounded by mountains. Here the visitor also like to snorkel. Unfortunately, it is also quite busy in high season. In the northeast of the island is the Viking cave. Because swallows nests are harvested here, this cave may only be visited from outside. Just south of it is the Phi Phi Lagoon. This is not very deep. The best visit is during high tide.
